KIWI Strength-based Organization and Entrepreneurship

Two toolboxes, one to get started with Strength-based Entrepreneurship and one for Strength-based Organizing

Projectomschrijving

How can you sustainably embed strengths-based working within an organization? By not leaving it a matter of individuals, but by instilling a strengths-based culture. Based on action research, we developed a change model that implements such a strengths-based and inclusive culture, using the principle of "viral change." The same change model, and the same principles, can also be applied to developing an entrepreneurial organizational culture.

In addition, a toolbox was co-developed with social economy organizations to implement self-sustaining business models for supporting individuals distanced from the labor market. Effective support for target group employees requires sufficient and sustainable funding. Sometimes this means reducing reliance on subsidies. But what we discovered most importantly is that thinking more in terms of self-sustaining business models makes organizations more entrepreneurial. And that entrepreneurship, in its purity and untainted by systemic excesses, is by definition strength-based. It challenges people and organizations to embrace their strengths.
