Everyone has an impact

'Every time you spend money you're casting a vote for the kind of world you want.’

In April 2013, a Bangladeshi garment factory collapsed, killing more than 1,000 garment workers. That's when I began my search for businesses operating sustainably. The most rewarding aspect of my search was undoubtedly the unique stories of these sustainable entrepreneurs, each with their own reason for starting their own sustainable journey.

Sustainability and psychology

Sustainable products shouldn't be a niche market. The transition to sustainability is underway, but far too slowly. Our biodiversity is declining, the climate is warming, and our clothing is still made by children's hands. As a psychologist, I investigate the barriers various stakeholders face to moving towards sustainability and how these barriers can be removed.

Evidence-based

Scientific knowledge about sustainability is only accessible to a handful of people. I provide scientific advice on behavior change campaigns, from campaign design to impact measurement. I also work to disseminate scientific knowledge about sustainable clothing and sustainable mobility.

Travel, vintage, plant-based food, rabbits and volleyball

…a selection of my activities and passions.
