After studying Business Engineering, Lotte obtained a PhD in Environmental, Energy, and Transport Economics from KU Leuven. After a brief stint as a strategy consultant, she returned to the environment that most inspires and energizes her: higher education. At UCLL, she teaches economics to Bachelor's students in Business Management. She also coaches students in a Service Learning context to contribute to society, specifically as a consultant in the social and circular economy. As a researcher, she stays close to her research roots and works on various research projects within the circular and social economy.

In her spare time you can find her jogging in the woods, on the couch with a good book or a feel-good movie, or in the gym for a Pilates session.
