Project description
Recent research and publications have highlighted the relationship between entrepreneurship and mental well-being. This gained international attention through a series of presentations at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos in 2019. While it was rightly noted that while entrepreneurs contribute economic benefits to the societies in which they operate, little attention is paid to their mental well-being (MWB) in an increasingly challenging business environment. According to a study presented at Davos, approximately half of entrepreneurs suffer from at least one form of mental health problem during their lifetime.
This project aims to support entrepreneurs across Europe by developing educational materials that encourage reflection, understanding, diagnosis, and mental resilience. The project has the following objectives:
- Engage with business owners to identify key areas where support is needed to maintain their mental health and work-life balance;
- Identifying European good practices.
- Evaluate effective approaches to ensure health and well-being, and publish these findings across Europe.
- Provide training and awareness programs that cover all aspects of mental health and well-being.
- Publish case studies, educational resources, training materials, and factsheets to support the mental health and well-being of entrepreneurs, making them accessible 24/7.
